Terms of Service
Opercept Inc. — Last updated: February 2026
1. Purpose of the Service
Opercept is a structured review support and record-keeping system for Commercial Package policies. It assists users by organizing policy content for structured review and by maintaining a consolidated, time-stamped record of review activity.
Opercept is not a decision system. It does not determine insurance coverage, interpret policy language or intent, assert review completeness, or replace professional judgment.
2. What Opercept Provides
Opercept may:
- Surface non-exhaustive policy provisions, including coverage language and limiting language, for user consideration
- Organize policy content into structured review areas commonly examined during policy review
- Allow users to confirm, dismiss, modify, or record user-entered notes related to surfaced content
- Record review actions, including user confirmations, dismissals, and user-entered content
- Maintain a consolidated, time-stamped record of review activity for reference or export
All surfaced content is informational only and is not exhaustive. The absence of surfaced content does not indicate that no relevant policy language exists within a document.
No surfaced content has any effect unless explicitly reviewed and acted upon by a user.
Opercept may use anonymized and aggregated usage data to improve system operation and the organization of review content over time.
3. What Opercept Does Not Provide
Opercept does not:
- Determine insurance coverage
- Interpret policy language or legal effect
- Assert that any document, section, or provision has been fully reviewed
- Provide legal, underwriting, or insurance advice
All review conclusions and outcomes remain the responsibility of the user.
4. Eligibility and Authority
You represent that you are authorized to upload and review the documents you submit and that any disclosure of information to Opercept is permitted under applicable obligations.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for independently reviewing the entire document submitted for review, including any portions not surfaced or organized within Opercept.
Opercept records review activity but does not certify the completeness, adequacy, or sufficiency of any review. The service may not be relied upon as an authoritative or exhaustive system.
6. Document Ownership
Opercept does not claim ownership of uploaded documents and processes them solely to support user-directed review and record-keeping within the platform.
7. Availability
Opercept is provided without warranty of uninterrupted availability. The service may be modified, suspended, or unavailable from time to time as part of normal operation, maintenance, or pilot use.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Opercept Inc. is not responsible for decisions, actions, or outcomes arising from use of the service.
9. Pilot Use
Where Opercept is provided under a separate pilot or evaluation agreement, the terms of that agreement govern to the extent of any conflict.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada.
